It’s odd that until today, I only thought of gardening as a summer sport. We plant early in the spring, harvest the veggies throughout the summer, and wrap things up in September.
To the rest of the world, there is an entirely new harvest season that begins at that same time. Squash, pumpkins, gourds, corn, etc.
Why are we not taking advantage of this? And by we, I really mean my husband because let’s just be honest – there are bugs and spiders in the garden and it’s not the place for me. New Rule: gardening no longer ends in September – we’re going all the way in 2017 baby!
